Companies Who Fooled Us With Their Deceptive Packaging

She Chose The Bigger Box But Ended Up Paying For Air

This person was having trouble choosing between this box and another brand of chocolates when they were at the store. She picked the bigger package, but subsequently found out that it was mostly empty. You should never trust the size of something without also checking its weight.

Instead of putting them in a line without gaps, they threw away a lot of plastic. This person very much paid for more cardboard, plastic, and air. They will never be able to trust the size of a product's package again, but we all have to learn that lesson at some point.

Actual Size Is Not The Actual Size

This is perhaps the only occasion a consumer wanted anything smaller than what they got. This company said the picture was the right size, but they left off a few inches. These are either two different products or they made the picture smaller at the last minute to save money on printing. The photo doesn't show the little icons on the product correctly, and now this customer has a huge WiFi adapter that isn't as small as they had hoped. It might look more like the photo if they hold it farther away from their face.
