Here's How To Succeed At College Dating

3. Communication Is Key

This is good advise for dating in general, not just for college dating. It's well known that communication can make or destroy a relationship. Not telling your partner what you like, dislike, and how you feel can only cause problems and anger. It could be hard at first, but it's necessary to become used to being honest with people. Not everyone will respond to it, though. Some individuals could argue that what you want or need is a dealbreaker for them. That's fine; it just means you two won't be able to make it work. Thank them for being honest and move on.

4. Don't Go Playing The "Blame Game"

We sometimes blame the other person for the problems in the relationship, even if it's not fair. It's simple to blame the other person for ruining the connection by saying things like "You never listen" or "You don't want to hang out with me ever," but this probably won't deliver you the long-term results you want. Instead, attempt to calmly and logically explain how what the other person did made you feel. It's easier said than done, right? Of course it is. When you start playing the "blame game," the most important thing is not to be perfect, but to pay attention to yourself. "When you said you didn't want to go out, it made me feel unimportant." If you can, try to stop yourself, calm down, and say what you mean in a better way. If you're not perfect at this, don't be hard on yourself. It takes time and emotional maturity to get better.
