The dog often used ferries to cross straits and get between adjacent islands. Journalist Chris McGrath, who spent a day tracking the dog, noted how laid back he appeared to be during travel.

Apart from this, he claimed that seeing the dog laze about on the ship under the sun was a quite soothing experience. To show his playful side, the puppy would start barking anytime the boat came across waves of a larger scale.
