Though Boji likes to act like a human, one thing really thrills him—just like it does every other dog everywhere: cats! Only when a cat is nearby have residents of the area seen Boji becoming agitated or energetic. Sadly, stray cats are really common in Istanbul, hence Boji often finds himself in a situation that is rather challenging to manage. Should Boji see a cat in the distance, he starts running straight forward.

McGrath claimed it happened three to four times within the course of one day. He even once found himself running after a cat all the way to a local park. The residents still enjoy him even if he has an inclination to chase animals. Seeing a dog that is so calm act in such an agitated way is really unusual.
