Used Cars That Mechanics Say Aren’t Worth the Money

20. Chrysler PT Cruiser - $19,000 to $21,000

The PT Cruiser had a hard life right away because production started in 2000 in preparation for a large debut in 2001. A lot of people liked its distinctive design, but the engine had a lot of problems with how it was made and how it was designed. The car felt awful when it was idling, and the "Check Engine" light was on more often than not, even though there was no clear problem. It often stopped working, and starting the engine was hard. In the end, production was called off in 2007.

Because of the financial crisis that was coming in the late 2000s, the PT Cruiser was one of the automobiles that didn't sell as well and got the axe. Chrysler was having a hard time since sales were low and the car was too much trouble.

19. Nissan Juke - $21,200

People often say that the Nissan Juke is the best example of how Nissan's popularity is going down. What Car says that the company has been doing worse than other big car companies for a while now. The Juke is a tiny SUV that sold better as subsequent models came out. More sales meant that more people found out how many faults the engine had. If engine problems made up a quarter of all complaints about the car, it would become less popular in North America. It would eventually stop being brought there at all, but you can still find it in other parts of the world.
