Used Cars That Mechanics Say Aren’t Worth the Money
16. DeLorean DMC-12 - $25,000
The identical DeLorean that was in Back to the Future was a huge issue for mechanics back then. It was one of the most costly cars to ever fail, and it was only made between 1981 and 1983. The price went up since the movie was so popular, even if the specs weren't very good. It didn't have a lot of power, with only 130 horsepower and 153 pound-feet of torque.
15. Ford Taurus - $27,800
Ford stopped making the Taurus in 2019 after making it for over 30 years. They said they wanted to focus on SUVs and trucks instead. The Taurus was one of the vehicles that got deleted because it had a bad reputation for gas mileage and a weak engine. It fell significantly behind its competitors since it only got 18 miles per gallon in the city and 26 miles per gallon on the interstate.
Ford's decision to exclusively sell the Mustang and Active Focus meant that Taurus was no longer needed in North American markets.
