Used Cars That Mechanics Say Aren’t Worth the Money

6. Hummer H2 - $60,000

The H2 was a huge machine that was sold from 2002 to 2009. It was big and worked well in a lot of ways. It behaved well in crashes, was easy to drive off-road, and had a 32-gallon tank to power the huge automobile. The horrible gas mileage, however, was what wrecked the automobile and made it a failure. It only gets 10 miles per gallon in the city and 13 on the interstate, making it one of the least efficient modern cars ever made.

Hummer is known for making cars that are built like tanks, but the H2 is just plain terrible, especially for the price. Drivers may easily find something better for the same price.

5. Lexus SC 430 - $68,405

People who don't care about brands don't like the SC 430 as much as Lexus aficionados do. Originally, the car was a two-passenger coupe, but a redesign turned it into a convertible with a sharper look. But the automobile didn't handle like a sports car. It was hard to drive and didn't respond quickly like a sportier make would. It also had a bad reputation for resale value. The SC 430 is a great example of a car that looks well but doesn't cost much. The Truth About Cars said it "looked wrong" and "styled, rather than engineered."
