Used Cars That Mechanics Say Aren’t Worth the Money
6. Hummer H2 - $60,000
The H2 was a huge machine that was sold from 2002 to 2009. It was big and worked well in a lot of ways. It behaved well in crashes, was easy to drive off-road, and had a 32-gallon tank to power the huge automobile. The horrible gas mileage, however, was what wrecked the automobile and made it a failure. It only gets 10 miles per gallon in the city and 13 on the interstate, making it one of the least efficient modern cars ever made.
5. Lexus SC 430 - $68,405
People who don't care about brands don't like the SC 430 as much as Lexus aficionados do. Originally, the car was a two-passenger coupe, but a redesign turned it into a convertible with a sharper look. But the automobile didn't handle like a sports car. It was hard to drive and didn't respond quickly like a sportier make would. It also had a bad reputation for resale value.
The SC 430 is a great example of a car that looks well but doesn't cost much. The Truth About Cars said it "looked wrong" and "styled, rather than engineered."
